Benjamin Franklin House Literary Prize. Closes: 31 st August 2008

 A question will be posed around the subject of Benjamin Franklin's relevance in our time. 1000 to 1500 words are required and there are two entry groups.

Young Writers Prize: £500
Professional Writers Prize: £1000.

Young writers will be judged by Professional writers and vice versa. More information is available here:

Manga Jiman 150 Competition. Closes: 26th September 2008


This competition is run by the Embassy of Japan and is open to anyone of 14 years old, or above.

First prize is a return ticket for two to Japan.

Second prize is a Toshiba Laptop, and third prize is a Ricoh Digital Camera.

 Runners up will receive some Manga publications and various gift vouchers.
